Our mission
Help every church welcome every person — in nearly 200 languages, on the phones they already carry.

Breeze Translate turns your Sunday service into live text on listeners' phones — and optional audio — in the language they choose. Your team runs it from a browser; guests scan a QR code. No app to install.

For churches
Whether you have a multilingual congregation or you simply want to be ready when someone walks through the door, Breeze gives you live captions and translation without a sales call, a sound-desk degree, or a corporate quote. Plans start from $8 per week, with a free trial.
For everyone in the room
Guests choose their language and follow along in real time — on their own phone, at their own pace. Hard of hearing? Live captions help you catch every word. Visiting family who do not share the service language? They can read or listen without anyone translating for them.
From hackathon to Sunday morning

Breeze began at Kingdom Code — a hackathon for technology that serves Christian ministry. A weekend prototype became software churches now rely on every week, built and maintained by a team of faith-filled volunteers.
Mike Ashelby leads the product. He joined after watching two Iranian members of his church struggle to follow the service — a mother-in-law who spoke no English, and a son-in-law who could not translate the sermon in real time.
That moment shaped our mission: make live translation simple and affordable enough for any church, so no one sits through a service they cannot understand.

A Note on Our Name
The project was first called "De Babel", echoing Genesis 11. We renamed it Breeze Translate to reflect Pentecost in Acts 2 — the Holy Spirit came like a rushing wind and bridged language divides. Our mission is not to undo Babel, but to join what God is already doing: helping every tribe and tongue hear the Gospel.
Connecting Communities
of residents in England and Wales use a first language other than English (2021 census) — illustrating how many communities include people who may welcome easier access to the language of the service
— 2021 Census
Language keeps people on the edges of church life — often invisibly. Breeze puts live translation within reach of any congregation, so welcome is not something you postpone until "someone shows up."
