Getting Started
Create an account, connect your audio, and press "Start".
Setup Steps
Create Account
Enter your church name, email address, and password. Your church name becomes part of your unique URL, so make it easily identifiable. Verify your email by clicking the link we send you the first time you log in at control.breezetranslate.com.
Connect Your Audio
Select the audio input for your service—this could be a feed from your sound desk, or a microphone connected to your device.
Press Start
Log in and hit "Start". That's it. Your service is now being transcribed and translated in real-time to nearly 200 languages.
Optional Customizations
- Add team members to your account so others can start and manage sessions
- Add your church logo, so people see it when they scan your QR code
- Choose your input language—we recommend "Multi-language" for the best transcription accuracy and automatic language switching between all 60 supported input languages
- Change the audio device being used, if the default one isn't correct
How Your Congregation Connects
Connection Steps
Share Your QR Code
From your dashboard, download your QR code and put it on a poster, projector screen, or anywhere else people can see it.
People Scan
As soon as someone scans that code, they'll be taken to your unique translation page.
Choose Language
They simply select their language from nearly 200 available languages. You do not need to pre-define which languages to offer.
Read the Translation
The written translation appears on their phone screen in real-time as the speaker talks. No headphones or special equipment needed—they simply read along on their own device.

Connecting Your Audio
Breeze Translate works on any device. The key is getting a clean audio signal from your service.
The golden rule: The closer you can get to a "nice dry audio signal" (just the voice, no reverb or music), the better the translation will be.
Recommended: Sound Desk Feed
Use Your Main Mix
The best results come from taking a direct audio feed from your mixing desk. The "front of house" or main mix works well for most churches.
Or Use an AUX Send
For even cleaner results, use a separate AUX output. This lets you send only the spoken word to Breeze—removing background music, instruments, band or backing singers.
Fallback Options (For Testing or Simple Setups)
Clip-on / Lapel Mic
A clip-on mic connected to a laptop or tablet works well for touring speakers or venues without a sound desk.
Device on Lectern
Place a phone or tablet near the speaker on the lectern. Good enough for testing or very simple setups.
Connecting to Your PA System
Digital Mixing Desk
If you have a digital desk, you can likely connect it directly to your computer via USB. The computer will see the desk as an audio interface, allowing you to select its outputs.
External Audio Interface
A simple, reliable method for any desk. A single-input audio interface (like a Behringer UM2 or Focusrite Scarlett Solo, around £28-£75) takes an AUX or Control Room output and connects to your computer via USB.
Computer's Built-in Input
Many computers have a 3.5mm microphone or line-in port. Run a cable from your mixing desk directly into this port using a 6.35mm to 3.5mm adapter cable.
Tips for the Clearest Translation
Recommended
- Use the Main Mix to start: For getting started, using the "front of house" or "main mix" from your desk will work absolutely fine most of the time.
- Use an AUX send (Advanced): The ideal setup is to use a separate output from your desk (like an "AUX" send). This allows you to create a custom mix just for the translation - only the spoken word, removing background piano, singers, or the full band.
Things to Avoid
- Avoid placing a phone in front of a speaker: This doesn't work well due to distortion and amplification.
- Avoid using a mic at the back of the church: This will pick up a "very Reverby signal".
- Avoid general ambient mics: These pick up too much room noise and chatter.
